thought Every year, tens of thousands of 911 calls go unanswered. Even if your call is answered, it can take anywhere from several minutes to several hours for the police to respond. But it only takes minutes for an attacker to rape, maim, or kill. 911 operators do an important job, but the system has its limits. Many people have paid with their lives to learn this. Face the facts: Criminals don’t attack when the police are around. The person responsible for defending yourself and your family is YOU. Firearms are the most effective means of personal defense — that's why the police carry them. If you don’t want to own a firearm, that’s your decision. But taking this choice away from others is immoral, unconstitutional, and potentially deadly. Remember this: the homes and families of many politicians pushing gun control are protected 24 hours a day by armed guards — often paid for with your money. If dialing 911 isn’t good enough for these politicians, why do they think it’s good enough for you? If you have any doubts about this, then maybe you could proudly and enthusiastically post a sign on your home and your place of business that yours is a weapons - free living space. A lso anyone that has any doubts, or anyone that doesn't, should read the book or see the video - Dial 911 and Die.Also remember: that the courts have ruled that the police do not have a legal obligation to protect you. That is why you can't sue them. They generally are the mop up committee and record the crime.
